1. GENERAL

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies when MAPSIOT AB, company registration number 556910-5223, address Sveavägen 98, SE-113 50 Stockholm, ("MAPSIOT", “We”, “Us”) supplies the website www.mapsiot.com and the Service, as defined in MAPSIOT’s Terms (the “Service”), www.mapsiot.com

1.2. We are responsible for the processing of Your personal data for which we decide the purposes and the means of processing. With “Personal Data” we mean information, which is directly, or indirectly referable to a natural living person, e.g. name, email-address and IP addresses. We may collect the information set out below, which may include Your Personal Data.

1.3. By clicking the “I accept” button in the user account set up flow at the Website, You agree that we collect and process Your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. WHY WE PROCESS INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

Mainly we collect and process Your Personal Data in order to provide, manage, develop and customize the Service and its functionalities, to manage the customer relationship with You, as well as to meet safety and other statutory requirements.

4. THIRD PARTY PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA

4.1. We may transfer Your Personal Data to other legal entities than MAPSIOT, any of the companies in MAPSIOT’s group of companies or MAPSIOT’s Data Processors (as defined below) (“Third Parties”). We transfer Your Personal Data to Third Parties for the following purposes:

Providing You with customer support and improved features of our Website and the Service, e.g. via online chat-systems or e-mail integrated support for service requests.

Third Parties’ analysis of Your Personal Data and, direct marketing communication to You of similar products and services.

4.2. You hereby acknowledge, understand and agree to the transfer of Your Personal Data to Third Parties and that the privacy policy of Third Parties will govern all use of information provided to Third Parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5. DATA PROCESSORS

5.1. With regard to Your user account information, MAPSIOT is the data controller and, as such, always responsible for that processing of Your Personal Data is lawful.

5.2. MAPSIOT can use a subcontractor in order to, on MAPSIOT’s behalf, perform the tasks in accordance with the above, e.g. IT suppliers, server suppliers, suppliers of digital data, analysing tools (“Data Processors”). Such Data Processor will have the same obligations regarding the processing of Personal Data as MAPSIOT has towards You.

5.3. MAPSIOT may share and disclose Your Personal Data to our Data Processors that process Personal Data on behalf of MAPSIOT, for the above stated purposes.

5.4. Due to that Data Processors can be geographically located both within and outside the EU/EEA Your Personal Data may be transferred to or stored in a country outside the EU/EEA. As a result, You might get less legal rights in relation to Your Personal Data. Your user name may be disclosed to other users of the Service. By creating a user account to the Service, You agree that user's Personal Data is transferred and stored outside the EU / EEA.

5.5. Personal Data may also be disclosed if it is necessary in order to comply with applicable legal requirements or requirements from authorities, to preserve our legal interests or to detect, prevent, or pay attention to fraud and other security or technical issues.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

6.1. Some of the Data Processors or Third Parties to which we transfer Your Personal Data send and/or store data outside the EU/EEA. As a consequence, Your Personal Data may be transferred to, or stored in, a country outside the EU/EEA.

6.2. We strive to, at our best efforts, achieve and uphold an adequate level of integrity for Your Personal Data as required by law.

7. DELETION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

7.1. As described herein, the primary reason for why we process Your Personal Data is to supply You with a great Service. Should You choose to delete Your user account to the Service, we will delete Your Personal Data after 6 months.

 8. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

8.1. MAPSIOT is entitled to change this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy we will notify You by publication here. www.mapsiot.com If the changes are material, we will provide You additional, prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances and, where required under applicable law, ask for Your consent.

8.2. You terminate Your agreement with MAPSIOT by deleting Your MAPSIOT account.

9. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

9.1. You should always be able to feel safe when You provide Your personal information to MAPSIOT. We have therefore taken the security measures required to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, modification and deletion.

10. MISCELLANEOUS

10.1. MAPSIOT is responsible for ensuring that Your Personal Data is treated in accordance with applicable legislation. Once per calendar year, You are entitled to, by a signed application, obtain a transcript of the Personal Data we hold about You free of charge. We will at Your request or by own initiative correct information found to be incorrect or misleading.

10.2. MAPSIOT has the right to assign its rights and obligations under this Privacy Policy. Furthermore, MAPSIOT has the right to subcontract the performance of their duties following from this Privacy Policy.

10.3. If the ownership of our business changes, we may assign and transfer Your information, including Your user account and Your Personal Data, to the new owners, or partners thereto, regardless whether they are resident and having business operations within or outside of the EU/EEA, so they can continue the Services. This includes any transfer and assignment to a company within MAPSIOT’s group of companies, including an owner of, or subsidiary to, MAPSIOT. Any new owner will still have to honour the commitments we have made in this Privacy Policy.

10.4. These Terms were written in English. To the extent any translated version of these Terms conflicts with the English version, the English version shall prevail.
